La Contamine Ski Touring

Fresh powder after the storm! yesterday we were skiing fresh powder (St Gervais) in a white paper bag, today a complete contrast. The team got to grips with the powder although we had some comedy kick turns on the way up.

Ice Climbing Chamonix / La Grave

Been ice climbing over the past week. A few days in La Grave where the conditions were great, best they've been for a few years. After New Year I was back in Chamonix and climbed in the Trient Gorge. Had a Father and son (11 years old) amazing he loved the ice climbing but wasnt impressed by the abseil of an Abolakov thread!

Ski Touring - Verbier / Bruson

Been ski touring in and around Verbier over the last few days. Despite the cosolidated snow pack we managed to find some creamy snow not yet turned. Mostly on Northerly aspects sheltered from the wind and in the trees. Lovely weather, spectacular views and very quiet in Switzerlands best kept secret B*****!

Avalanche Foundation - Avoriaz

Digging a snow trial pit to analise snow structure and shear testing. Not much excitement the snow pack was very stable.
